  • “Thalassa Effect”

    -

Having spent time practising with noted Italian artist, Arnaldo Miccoli, and having gained high praise for her work throughout Italy, Yulia Solod returned to Russia in 2020 with her solo exhibition entitled “The Thalassa Effect”, curated by Dr. Enrico Gigante.

Influenced by Miccoli, she likes to experiment, giving her paintings volume and texture. The sea attracts and influences her, but she does not draw the sea; rather the sea inspires her and guides her in choosing a unique technique, which is the result of long artistic experiments. For this reason, she states that all her works exist in a single copy and cannot be repeated even by the artist herself, since it is impossible to recreate those unique conditions and psychophysical characteristics that gave birth to each individual piece.
