  • Russian String Orchestra: Edinburgh Fringe 2019

    -

With sponsorship from Art-centre Exposed, the Russian String Orchestra, under the direction of Misha Rachlevsky, returned for a third consecutive year to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2019.

The highlight this year was seven inspiring concert programmes in the beautiful and atmospheric surroundings of Old Saint Paul’s church, situated right in the heart of Edinburgh. Performances included a world premiere of Richard Danielpour’s “Ricordanza for baritone and string orchestra (2019)”, featuring Vladimir Chernov. Other guest performers included pianist Suzanne Bradbury (USA / Spain), Scottish clarinetist Calum Roberson and Edinburgh City organist, John Kitchen MBE.

In addition, there were a further two series of concerts under their ‘Misha’s Gang” umbrella, which brought a second award from the Herald and a further set of strong reviews.
