“Sharp Beauty. Contrasts”
-
A second solo exhibition by Emma Tsugunyan, featuring a series of paintings made by the author’s technique “thorn”. In these works, the artist tells about the duality of everything that happens both in the world and, in particular, in the life of each person. Where beauty echoes with ugliness, tenderness with rudeness, joy with sadness.
Oil strokes in the form of thorns for the author are not just technical self-expression. The thorn is a symbol of protection. Emma Tsugunyan says: “It is important to protect and preserve such qualities as fragility, modesty, dreaminess, tenderness, kindness. That is, we can be both strong and weak. This is the essence of duality.”
