ANGELINA PROKOPYEVA’S SOLO EXHIBITION “SEMITA”
Art-centre Exposed presents the first solo exhibition of Angelina Prokopyeva. Graphics and sculpture.
In March 2025, at the age of 25, Angelina Prokopyeva became the laureate of the II All-Russian Painting and Graphics Competition RUSSCOART, organized by Art-centre Exposed.
“Semita” — translated from Latin as “a narrow path” or “a direction in life” — is her first solo exhibition. It is not merely a presentation of artworks, but an exploration of the artist’s path. This path requires dedication, patience, and constant inner work, despite difficulties and doubts. For Angelina, art is not a pursuit of success, but a deep inner desire to express something greater; a continuous process of self-improvement; a search not for absolute truth, but for her own personal truth.
The exhibition “Semita” captures the very process of searching — like an open laboratory where an artistic language is formed through dialogue with material, line, and form. Each work is a question, an attempt, a step toward understanding the living and ever-changing. The central theme of the exhibition is a love for the very matter of life and a reflection on its finitude — not as a tragedy, but as a condition for sincerity, clarity, and the value of each moment. Here, form, liberated from mutable flesh, becomes not a sign of loss, but a meditative reminder of the harmony underlying the structure of the universe.
