A joint exhibition by artist Daria Panfilova and motion graphic designer Fernand Clarke. A continuation of the artists’ reflections on the “poles of cold”, focussing on aspects of human interaction with the Arctic and Antarctic using a variety of media: digital art, classical paintings, photographic prints, mini sculptures, and lectures.

Daria Panfilova has long been fascinated by the majesty of the Arctic and the many mysteries and secrets which it holds. Inspiration for much of her work is drawn from this region, and several of her pieces are to be found on display in Svalbard, deep within the Arctic Circle. Turning south, in 2019-20 she participated in an Australian Antarctic Society polar artists’ research project in Sydney.

Fernand Clarke is a motion graphic designer and 3D artist. He was born in Tiksi, one of the world’s northernmost settlements, on the shore of the Laptev Sea, with its surrounding Arctic waters and vast tundra.
