Ivan Porkhachev is a designer, painter and graphic artist. He favours watercolours to create strikingly light and vibrant images of various parts of the world (from Venice to New York, Rome to the Bosphorus, Moscow to Strasbourg), enabling the viewer to feel the atmosphere and the mood that he himself felt at the time the works were created.

Each of his works feels delicate and harmonious; and each has a unique feel, its own special mood. He is a virtuoso of light, yet at the same time complex watercolours; creating works which appear uplifting but are also full of deeper meaning and inner content.

Porkhachev’s works have been exhibited, and are held in private collections, in the UK and Russia.
